The first weekend in March plays host to the London Live Monopoly Run, a regular event for 4th Worth Scouts. This year six teams from 4th Worth joined over 1300 others from around the UK, spending a day in London playing a real-life game of Monopoly. Teams must try and visit as many of the Monopoly Board locations in London as possible in the day, buying properties where they can, paying rent where they need to and completing several different challenges along the way. Challenges include teams forming human pyramids or getting pictures in a certain location or with a certain thing, all in a bid to earn extra money for their bank balance.

Scouts and Leaders had a fantastic time exploring London, with many seeing famous London landmarks in person for the first time and everyone visiting at least one part of London they hadn’t been to before. Scouts also have the opportunity to spend the night after the event at the HQ with their friends. So, once the games had ended, everyone travelled back to 4th Worth HQ where Scouts were treated to a massive amount of pizza and ice cream. They then watched a film on the big screen before heading to bed for some much-needed sleep!

Although the focus of the weekend is for Scouts to have fun, all of the 4th Worth teams did really well and in particular team Kensington who won our game with an excellent final balance of £4220 and coming 181st out of 1386 teams overall.
