Our young shooters have now started their National Camel League that will take six months to complete. The final results and medals will not be known until the end of June.

In addition, this weekend two of our coaches sailed over to The Hague in Holland as part of British Shooting Pathway to take part in the Intershoot 2023 NL matches, with competitors coming from as far as Brazil, India and the rest of the world. Harley & Max started shooting through 4th Worth shooting group, moving onto the National Scout Squad, and eventually onto the British Shooting Pathway.

Harley had great success, in the qualifier match she finished sixth and this was good enough to qualify for the final, from there she went on to take the gold medal beating Apurvi Chandela from India, a previous double Olympian and world champion.

The following day she finished first in the qualifier with a truly international high score of 627•7, high enough to have got her into an Olympic final! But this time she took the bronze medal in the final and a silver medal in team match. 

Although Max had a poor start on the Thursday when he ran out of time, Friday was a better day, and he finished 6th and thus making the final, where he slipped further back to eighth. On Saturday he again made the final and just failed to get a medal achieving fourth place with a closely fought contest with a German athlete. 

Saturday saw Harley join Max, again making the final, and both finishing fourth, a very respectable result in the International level competition that they were taking part in. Well done both!
